Social Injustice's of the World

The dictionary defines poverty as the state of being extremely poor. Poverty exists throughout the whole world. Poverty has been around since the beginning of time. Afghanistan is amongst the top 20 poorest countries in the world. Their annual income is $956 which equates to nearly a $1.00 a day to live on. Afghanis’ have an unemployment rate of 35 to 42 percent due to ongoing corruption. Although the country has diverse resources such as small-scale mining of gems, gold, copper and coal, it shows the dynamics of the corruption that has led to extreme poverty.
Poverty is a well-known fact around world, but it may also be misconstrued with poor. Being simply poor and living in poverty are completely different things. People that live off low income may be considered poor. Meanwhile people that do not have clothes, water, food and most of all a roof over their heads everyday are the people that are in poverty. There are many things that prevent the issue from getting solved.
Race discrimination, social economic status, chronic unemployment and inadequate education all play a role in not preventing poverty. The causes of poverty interact with each other and as a result, what makes people impoverished keeps them impoverished. People in poverty will always be around. The challenge is educating them to improve their conditions. Without exposure to better opportunities, poverty will continue to develop.
The solution to poverty is not easy. Poverty has been around since the beginning of time. In my opinion, a key solution to poverty is education. Knowledge is power. Once a person knows how to live a better life, I feel that they can do better. Also exposing one to a different life style can also help their circumstances. In order for a person to move forward in life they have to have the opportunity to do so. If they are taught how to work or how to provide for themselves, poverty would decrease.
The second solution to poverty is to remove obstacles that prevent impoverished people from receiving help. We do not live in an impoverished country. Many countries throughout the world truly do not have the resources to help themselves. They are provided with the resources that the United States has, but due to road blocks, they are not able to receive the items in a timely manner or not at all. The government needs to figure out a way to get the resources to the people that need it. It seems easy to transport resources to those in need but it is not. If the obstacles were not there, poverty could be prevented. In order to overcome poverty, you have to believe that there is an end to poverty. Secondly, one must regain personal order and responsibility over your life. Thirdly, social and economic education must be expanded. Lastly, impoverished people should constantly surround yourself with nothing but people that are successful and moving forward.
