Helen appears to live a charmed life. She has been married for 18 years to a successful attorney named Charles. One the morning of November 6 2010 Helen wakes up to some heart breaking news. Her husband Charles wants a divorce, another woman is moving into her house and she has to leave her house without any of her belongings. She has nowhere to go her husband isolated her from her family. However, Helen moves in with her grandmother Madea, sassy women with no shortage of opinions who helps Helen get back on her feet.
Social Strengths:
Helen has support from family members, Helen writes in a diary about how she feels every day, Helen goes to church and has spiritual support from her mom, and Helen met a man name Orlando who is helping her trust men again by showing all men are not bad.
Social Hazards:
Possible physical abuse in relationship, mental abuse in relationship, loving a man who no longer loves her, Helen thanks she can’t make it without her husband, Helen husband having kids by another woman when she wanted kids, Helen was isolated from her family by her husband and he made her put her mother in a nursing home.

Because Helen was isolated from her family for 18 years she has possible depended issues. Helen also has possible self-esteem issues because of the mental abuse from her husband. Helen can also have possible communication problems because she was isolated from family and friends for 18 years.
Summary/Conclusion
Helen’s been married for 18 years to Charles and over the course of their time together; he’s become one of Atlanta’s most successful attorneys.   Despite wealth and prestige thinks are not working out at the McCarter home, and on their anniversary Charles gives Helen some bad news. Charles decides after 18 years he is divorcing her for another woman who he has two kids by him and in front of the girlfriend he drags Helen out of the house with nowhere to go.
