Abstract
The objective of this report is to analyze the sustainability and effectiveness of Mirakle Couriers, a one of a kind social business initiative in Mumbai that employs people with a hearing disability in a competitive job market. The idea is to reinstate that physically challenged individuals can be given a place in the society that does justice to their abilities.
Businesses that can fully utilize the aforementioned skills are in existence, it’s just that they are struggling to find their feet amidst indifference from the government and the society at large and find it tough to meet the very people they are trying to help. The current scenario (i.e. job prospects, educational opportunities) is not very bright for differently abled people. More such organizations with the social objective of creating opportunities for the physically challenged would be a major step towards promotion of equality.
