Nowadays is considered the world’s most popular sport because of the number of people who plays, watch and also the influence that has economically. It is the national sport of most European, Latin - American, African and Asian countries, and of many other nations. Millions of people in more than 140 countries play soccer and everyone’s knows what is it about. Soccer is known worldwide and is also played in the Olympics, but the most important championship inside soccer is the FIFA World Cup that develops every four years in a different country. The economy of soccer is the number 17 of the world. But how does the soccer industry affect directly to the entire world economically? In soccer we can talk about how the world cups influence economically by it, the soccer at leagues in the entire world and also we are going to see soccer in Ecuador.
The soccer most important championship is the FIFA World Cup, which is organized every four years in a different country each time. The organization of this cup affects directly to the economy of the country that host this tournament. The country starts to generate jobs, with the construction of stadiums, roads, infrastructure that estimates millions of dollars. Also we have the role of the sponsors, who give equivalent earnings of million of dollars to the country only for promoting the cup, this being and investment for the country. In the other hand is the tourism this generates, many people around the world come to the country to watch the cup, and they spend their money in food, hotels, etc. which represents earnings for all people of the country, and also this kind of events make marketing for the country.
