In today’s ever fast growing world of boom the whole world is experiencing a fast growth. All the fundamental facilities are also growing. One such place where people can shop for almost everything is the mall. -------------------------------------------------

As the malls have increased so has increased the no. of people visiting the particular mall. Today people have to wait in queue for the billing of their purchased products. This can be really inconvenient as may people are in a hurry and it is a sheer waste of time. -------------------------------------------------

In this project we are making wireless billing system for malls. The main objective of the project is to reduce the time taken during the billing (no queues) since the billing is done wirelessly. Also to reduce the man power needed is less thus reducing the overhead cost of the system. -------------------------------------------------

Rfid is the special type wireless card which has inbuilt the embedded chip along with loop antenna. the inbuilt embedded chip represents the 12 digit card number. Rfid reader is the circuit which generates 125khz magnetic signal. This magnetic signal is transmitted by the loop antenna connected along with this circuit which is used to read the rfid card number. -------------------------------------------------

In this project rfid card is used as security access card. So each product has the individual rfid card which represents the product name. rfid reader is interfaced with microcontroller. Here the microcontroller is the flash type reprogrammable microcontroller in which we already programmed with card number. The microcontroller is interfaced with keypad. -------------------------------------------------

BLOCK DIAGRAM EXPLANATION:
Here as shown in the block diagram we have interfaced rfid reader, IR transreceiver, 16x4 led display unit and the keypad interfaced with the microcontroller.
In this project we are making wireless billing system for malls. The main objective of the project is to reduce the time taken during the billing (no queues) since the billing is done wirelessly. Also to reduce the man power needed is less thus reducing the overhead cost of the system. The user needs to put the product he/she want to buy in a trolley. With each product entered into the trolley, the rfid tag on the product will be read by the rfid reader and the product will be added in the trolley system. The user can see the total products and the total cost of the products in the trolley on the display unit interfaced with the microcontroller on the trolley. If user want to delete any product from the trolley then he just need to take out that product from the trolley. A keypad is provided on the trolley for the user to check the total cost of the items he/she is going to purchase, what products he has taken, per unit cost of the item, etc. after completing the shopping, the user need to press the finish button. Once finish button is pressed by the consumer, the entire data of items to be purchased will be wirelessly transmitted to the billing counter via IR transreceiver.

Once the billing system will receive the data through IR receiver, the total bill will be displayed which the consumer need to pay. -------------------------------------------------
