Small Group Reflection Paper
This paper should be typed and the length should be 2-4 pages- use 12 point font, standard margins.
The following areas should be addressed in this paper.
Section # 1 Address the forming of your group- do you feel you made wise decisions on who you selected for your group members. Were you honest in the goals you stated you wanted from this course? Was meeting and selecting classmates online difficult? Did meeting classmates aid you in selecting your members? Were your members honest in stating their goals?
Section # 2 Spend some time reflecting on each of the group projects your group completed. Discuss the identity project, group tests and the infomercial. Discuss the preparation for the projects and the actual presentations. Reflect on the roles each member played- including yourself.
Discuss the communication from and between all group members- was it competent? If so how? If not ~ why not? Finally propose strategies and skills that could be employed to improve the communication between members.
Did the preparing of your group’s norms positively or negatively impact your group? What is the importance of selecting and enforcing explicit norms?
Section # 3 Give your final thoughts on participating in this small group class. What will you take with you from this course? What skills do you see as valuable and how will you apply them in future small group interactions?
How do you think this online small group class can be related to small groups in today’s technological electronic climate? Discuss possible applications to other small group situations, family, work groups, social groups, sports teams etc.
