Six Dimensions of Health Worksheet
For each of the following six dimensions of health, list at least one characteristic, activity, belief, or attitude that reflects that dimension in your life. Provide a brief explanation with each example. Refer to Ch. 1 in the text for explanations of these dimensions.
Physical health: Is your appearance and how you maintain it, it is also ability to perform the physical tasks you many need to accomplish. An activity of good physical health is being able to do your activities of daily living. Some characteristics of physical health are body size and shape. I need to maintain good physical health to continue my daily activates. I love to play tennis with my friends and later with my kids. I want to be able to play with my kids later.
Social health: is being capable of having interpersonal relationships, having normal interactions with others, and having appropriate behaviors in society. Social health is very important for over all good health. In my life social health is very important not only when I am going out but also in order to keep my job I have to know how to behave.
Intellectual health: is the ability to think clearly, and have reason and logic. Intellectual health is what we learn from our past and mistake and how to make a good choice in future. In my family I live with my parents. I have to learn from my past mistakes. I need to think intellectually to be successful in future.
Environmental health: is the appreciation of the external environment and the role individual’s play to preserve, protect, and improve environmental conditions. As a student i am trying to study hard to graduate and be a better person for my society.
Emotional health: is the ability to express emotions when they are appropriate, controlling them when they are not, and avoiding expressing them inappropriately. Self esteem, self-confidence, self-efficacy, trust, love and many...
