Differences in gender, age and physical abilities contribute to the diversity of today’s workforce. There have many differences between the applicant and the interviewer shape communication. So, we have to find many ways to improve communication in such situations.
When you have to interviewing a person who is physical challenged, the most important thing to do is to be yourself. Do not feel like you must act in any particular way to make the person comfortable. Also, do not let the fact that the person has a disability prevent you from interacting with them. You must respect them but not sympathy because this will make them became uncomfortable. What’s wrong with it if we treat them like normal people. Being interview a physical challenged person, you have to avoid from use deceptive tactics. This can cause them upset. So you have to become honest.
Therefore, do not assume that a person who is physically challenged is unable to perform up to the level of other individuals. One of the biggest problems we have in our society is discrimination against those who face physical or mental challenges. Many are overlooked for positions that they could perform with a high degree of proficiency by people who erroneously assume they won't be able to cut it.
