Singapore Art Museum trip
How has my field trip enriched my understanding of being a Singaporean? * After visiting Singapore Art Museum (SAM), I realize how much the world is changing and how Singapore is changing too to fit the world. SAM basically shows us the current trending art focusing on Asia and Southeast Asia. It is one of the most important collections of contemporary art from our region. After walking through the Museum I’ve since realize the influence of art in global context on Singapore. As the art works not only reflect Singapore but many other cultures and religions all around our region. This made me understand that been a Singaporean we must accept and understand multi-racial art as we are living in a multi-racial country. What have I learnt from the visits?
* I’ve learn to appreciate many different types of art work by different origins and cultures. The different art works assure me that I’m not simply a Chinese, he’s not totally Malay, she’s not all Indian, but we are all Singaporean. What are the highlights and key observations of my visit?
* The highlight of the trip is to get closer and know more about Singapore’s history and culture. It is also to get our classmates together like a class outing. The key observations are the amazing hand-crafts and paintings which some of them are astonishing.

How has my field trip enriched my understanding of being a Singaporean? * Looking through the artifacts and history family portraits, I’ve understand some history of Singapore. There are 11 precious artifacts in the museum that are important items of Singapore. What have I learnt from the visits?
