1. How can I become Sub Inspector of Police / Deputy Superindent of Police?
Notification is released regarding recruitment in all leading regional and national newspapers.
2. What is the minimum age to appear for SI Post / DSP Post?
In general a candidate should have attained the age of 21 years.
3. What is the maximum age to appear for SI Post / DSP Post?
In general should not have attained the age of 25 years. The upper age limit is relaxable for particular group. It should be seen in notification released in newsPapers
4. What is the basic education qualification to appear for SI selection / DSP selection?
A Degree awarded by any University in India, established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, provisional Act of State or of any institution recognized by the University Grants Commission or any other equivalent qualification. there is a Relaxation will be there for particular group. Refer to notification published in newspapers
5. What are the necessary physical standards to apply for SI Selection / DSP selection? a) Height: should not be less than 167.6 cms. b) Chest : should not be less than 86.3 cms round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 5 cms. In case of women candidates Height and weight mentioned below:
a) Height: should not be less than 157.5 cms
b) weight: should not be less than 47 kgs.
6. When will I be a full fledged Sub Inspector of Police ?
After successful completion of 12 months training in A. P. Police Academy, Hyderabad and practical training at prescribed places.
7. Are there any Eye sight restrictions?
a) Eye sight: Visual standards required for the above selection shall be as follows: i) Right Eye Left Eye
i) Distant Vision -- 6/6 6/6 ii) Near Vision --
