Should a new restaurant be built in your neighborhood?
I think it is a good idea to build a new restaurant in my neighborhood. I know that there are pros and cons associated with a restaurant coming up in a new area. There may be traffic problems and increased noise pollution. But I have reasons to believe that it will benefit more than do harm. Reasons for my opinion are as follows.
Firstly, the restaurants which are present currently will now have to compete with the new restaurant. So this in turn will increase the quality of food served by them as well as new restaurant. In order to keep customers coming, the restaurants will provide better service and food. The new restaurant, in order to establish them, will provide best possible service. All this will obviously benefit the customers.
Secondly, this will also bring down the price of food in restaurants. Restaurants will provide various discounts and offers. In order to stand the competition the old restaurants will decrease their profit margin and pay a good attention to customers demand. This will be advantageous to the customers only.
Furthermore, we can get a new and nearby place to hang out with friends. As it is near, we don’t have to worry about gas and vehicle driving. It will also attract people from various places to come and visit my area which in turn increases prosperity of local dealers and vendors. Although this means that there will be increase in pollution due to people frequently visiting our area, but I don’t think it is going to harm at a very big extent.
So as we see advantages outweighs disadvantages. So in my opinion a new restaurant nearby my place would be definitely a good idea.
