A Couple of days ago, I was supposed to study for an AP Psychology Test which accounted for a large portion of my grade. However, I had just gotten from tennis practice and was extremely exhausted, my legs and arms were sore and my brain needed a break. I was taking into consideration not studying for the test, since my health comes first. However, in the past test I got a C because I did the exact same thing. And I started wondering, Am I Gonna Let Myself get another C ? I looked back and realized the consequences of taking a break for a day. I decided that if i want to make into Boston College I had to work hard. When I took the test I got an A. It was worth it. In this situation I looked back to make my decision since the past is the major mirror of your future. If a person looks back to make a decision,the person is more likely to take a good decision.
Over the centuries famous theologists, scientists among others have stated that for one to become a better person one must take better choices. This statement is completely accurate. If one decides to take a risk, it is likely for the person to look back at the consequences or analyze the outcome of a close relative or friend who went through a comparable situation. “All of life is a journey which paths we take, what we look back on, and what we look forward to is up to us. We determine our destination, what kind of road we will take to get there, and how happy we are when we get there". This quote is very accurate. As we live, we decide what paths we must take in order to feel satisfaction, however to be able to make the best out of those paths we take, we must look back at how we lived to be completely sure we wont do the same thing again and look at the future to imagine were we will end up after we take that path in life. Our destiny is shaped by the decision we make today, however those decisions will be taken carefully in order to not make the same mistakes as yesterday.
