(Why Migration Matters)
Migration is a huge part of society and without it a lot of thing would not be. Migration whether it be for the good or bad it is what has brought about a change in America. Without migration I believe that the many cultures that we have become accustomed to would be closed off from our society. As stated by Khalid in chapter one of the book he says that “Almost every country on earth is and will continue, to be affected. Migration is inextricable linked with other important global issues including development, poverty, and human rights. Migrants are often the most entrepreneurial and dynamic members of society; historically migration has underpinned economic growth and nation-building and enriched cultures. Migration also presents significant challenges” I will say that I agree with the author because it is a fact that migration is linked with the economy period. In my research on certain aspects of human rights relating to sex slavery; it is a way of life. For some parents that live in the Filipino’s if they can’t make ends meet often times they will resort to people in an underground society that specializes in exotic fantasy for those will pay top notch for what that would like to have sex with. With this being said some will often give up the child who they consider the ugliest, the dumbest, the one who they claim will never be nothing, the one who cause the most problems, and the one that they have too many of.
