shaould teachers be replaced by computers
Should teachers be replaced by computers?
At present we are living in the 21st century which is the era of science and technology. Science and technology is very useful in our life. Today its growth rate is at its peak. One of the biggest gifts of science and technology is computer. With the help of computers we can do almost everything. Using computers and internet we can get almost every information by just a single click. In a blink of an eye big calculations can be done. In the fraction of a second we can also do many other things. But a computer cannot do everything which a man can do. One of the biggest examples is teachers. Teaching is one of the most challenging and demanding jobs and teachers are the most patient and tolerant creatures in the world. This job needs both patience and dedication towards the students. They need to intermingle with students and teach with full dedication. They are a typical combination of a mother, a friend and a guru. They never follow give and take norm. They give us punishments. They give complements. They give us love and affection, but never counts or takes these things back from us. They are like a bridge between success and us. They make us perfect humans and they also inculcate many values in our life. Without them gaining knowledge is impossible and without knowledge gaining spirituality is impossible. That is why; teachers are given a high post in our society from ancient times. But the growing rate of technology does not mean that we start replacing our teachers with computers, though we can use technology to make studying more interesting but we cannot replace are teachers with computers. Now, I would like to ask a question to all of those who are in the favor of replacing teachers, can a computer teach in the way like a teacher teaches? Can it explain and make us understand things in the frank way like our teachers do? And What if, if there’s no electricity, can a computer teach in that situation also? The answers to all these questions is NO. No, a computer cannot teach in the way like a teacher teaches. It cannot appreciate us on our good qualities like teachers do. It cannot interact with us. It cannot teach in the frank and friendly manner of our teachers. It cannot understand our problems and explain them again. It cannot crack jokes in the class like our teachers sometimes do. Above all, a machine cannot understand our feelings and help us to overcome the problems in our life. A teacher imparts knowledge to us, grooms our personality so that we can become a better person. It helps to distinguish between right and wrong and toughens us morally and physically to face the world, but a computer can do none of these things. A teacher plays different roles in our life. It acts as a guru while teaching, a friend while listening to our problems and providing solutions to them and like a mother while sharing love and affection with us. They are not only professionals but also a milestone in the path of success. They are different from other professionals because the work for their present, but a teacher works hard and prepares a child for his/her future. In the end I would just like to say that teachers who are the main reason behind the success of a man should never, never be replaced by computers. I would also like to recite this short poem for all my dear teachers.
Thank you teachers For acting like a friend, After taking time to shower Lessons hard to comprehend.
Thank you teachers For your caring and lots of other stuff, For all these things I can’t thank you enough.

As the days go by, things change. For now, technology is slowly replacing those labored hands that has controlled th8ings for many years. In the two essays, "From Learning as Torture to Learning as Fun" by Don Tapscott and "Makes Learning Fun" by Clifford Stoll, the two authors discuss the use of computers in education. Both authors discuss the positive and negative points that new age generation technology has had on today's society. One author leans toward the good in technology and the other author leans toward the bad in technology. While both essays express many strong points about the use of computers, I am leaning towards Clifford Stoll and agree with him. He clearly gives his thoughts of how technology…

Did you know that more than half of the world’s students are using tablet computers? To all the students out there who are not lucky enough to even use a computer (at home or at school), I am deeply sorry for you since half of the people that are at the same age as you are surrounded by information, and are improving their knowledge of the world everyday. No worries! After this speech you will have all the rights to go against who ever would not let your school have laptops/computers. "How is it possible to convince my headmaster to let us have computers in school?” A Chinese proverb once said: “Do not confine your children to your own learning, for they were born in a different time.” It clearly states how the minds of the elders and the juniors are so different since they were born in different times or even centuries. Would you rather listen to a person who has a mind to create more possibilities and not stick to the old rules or a person who sticks any same old rules that their elders once told them and rule the school? I bet you most people would choose a person who creates more possibilities than an old man who sticks to the rules and not let the school have technology. I mean, what is the point of a school, which only has books and pencils, and never interact with visual presentations; it would make the students lives in to hell! When they grow up, what job would require them to only write in books and pencils? If your child does not know anything about technology, what can they even be when they grow up? Nothing is my answer to that. You might say an architect, but sadly, they do use computers too, since after they finish the planning and design of the building, they would have to scan it on a computer and send it out to the managers. Our lives depend on technology and computers. Kids in school used to write on paper and read out of books But the fact is, more and more kids in school…

Educators can be great teachers as well as great learners. Everyday educators are learning different ways to inspire their students to learn Technology is one way that the educator are using to inspire their students since computers are one of the main technology that the students know how to use in the classroom. In the article, “The Importance of Classroom Usage in the Classroom” states that “Technology is not central to the teacher preparation experience in most colleges of education”. Learning hardly takes place without teaching. Also, it is impossible to imagine teaching without technology especially in 21st century onwards. Along with technological development the way of teaching and learning is being changed. Because, people especially youth remained bond to technological devices such as smart phones, tablet PCs, laptops etc. Being exposed to these circumstances, educators went for hunting another way(s) of instilling knowledge to the learners. Since interactive technological devices invented they also faced up with some complications in order to transcribe them into teaching and learning. It means, old generation tutors remained foreigner towards new educational technologies. By the way, I think, technological devices in education should not be assumed more than useful schooling facilitators. Because, as my teacher said “even the great technology user might get failed in teaching since he remains attached to it while teaching. You always have to keep plan B, C and D in your pocket.” Blackout is a good example for this situation. Alias technology became a part of our lives as well as in others fields like business, education, trade, science etc. Therefore, it should not be put aside or ignored while teaching and learning. Moreover, technology shortened the distance between the learner and teacher and accelerated the transfer of knowledge as well. To sum up, as teachers we should follow the trend in education, be aware of technological innovations and theories which would further illustrate our way in…

Not that I’d never thought about anything before, but she really taught me how to do it well – how to make connections among different ideas, how to question the texts and issues presented to me, how to understand rather than memorize. She also encouraged me to write, to think on paper in poetry and prose, to create new works instead of only reading those of others. She believed in me, and her confidence made me believe in myself. Even though she’d been teaching English for probably twenty years or more and had taught hundreds of students, she still found ways to make me feel unique and valuable.…
