I think that it is a good idea to start a family such a young age because of financial problems, stress , and anxiety. Parenting and starting a family are two different things parenting is normally not planed but, starting a family is normally planed. Along time ago people use to get married at the age of 13-14 years of age and would have children. Today people are not so open to the thought of young girls having children while still young themselves. Even though at one period in time it was not looked down on to get married at such a young age and have children.

Society has grown over time which makes it harder to understand things such as having children at a young age. Even though the teen grows up and matures more it is hard to raise someone when you are still learning about yourself. In today’s economy and society I can understand why it is looked down upon because, it is very hard to raise a child while trying to strive for things yourself. A lot of times when a teen pregnancy happens it motivates the parents to work towards handling things, and working towards their dreams.

A lot of people argue the fact that that if you are in school, have no career, and are staying at your parent’s house. You plan on bring a new life into the world without the basic necessity’s that bare needed to live comfortably without having a lot of problems
Not everyone thinks about the both good and bad things about having a child a lot of people think about how cute and well dressed their child will always be. They don’t think about income, how much clothing cost, or how much money they will spend on food and pampers. Things like this should be in one’s mind before they engage in sexual activity. Not everyone has a baby just to play dress up, studies show a lot of times if a child does not feel loved, or cared about the child will look for love from anywhere they can.

Although a child is a big responsibility some teen parents give

Some think that just because, you are a teen mom does not mean you can not just be like any other teen mother. A lot of people think just because you have a child as a young adult, that your life is over. It’s not. It’s just begun. Teenage mothers are dropouts are a lot of peoples stereotype against teen mothers. You can manage a child and go to school, yes it would be a lot but you still can manage it.With a good support system and hope in yourself you can finish it. Teenage mothers are less likely to finish high school then a regular teenager.(“Stereotypes”) Teen mothers are single moms. This is not entirely true. You can be a teenage mom and still have the father in your and the child’s life. The father does not always leave, most do yes, but not all. They want to think they can make it in this world, even if that meant having a child at a young age. Theres a lot more stereotypes like teen moms are bad moms, and that their on drugs. You can not judge someone on their age and why they do things. Most teen moms do not mean to get pregnant, but when they do it changes their life for the better. If they was doing something bad before the had the child then it changes their life and makes them want to do better; however on some it does not. We should not stereotype those teen moms who actually are not the bad ones. We should not stereotype them all just for a few bad…

Teenagers who become mothers have a very slim chance of having a good future. If a teenage girl gives birth while still in high school, she will most likely drop out to care of the baby. They also might not have the support of their family and therefore do not receive the knowledge of how to properly care for the baby. The mothers would be forced to rely on public assistance and advice on how to raise the child. However, if they do marry the father, they might end up divorced and have to raise their baby as a single parent.…

“Why do some men who once prodded their girlfriends towards pregnancy end up greeting the news with threats, denials, abandonment, and sometimes physical violence?” (7). It is a shame to see that men influence and persuade their couple to have a baby but in the end basically they are not ready to be a father so just physical and verbal abuse the girl. “Many men do not cope with the stress of a pregnancy well” (57). The other outcome is that the relationship transform to a “magical moment” because of the birth a child. Supposedly having a baby can help bring fix the problem that most relationships are having today. To me this a total lie because if the relationship is having trouble staying alive what makes them think that bringing a child into the world is going to make the relationship stable and good…

Did you know that teen pregnancy has been increasing in the United States more and more each year? Approximately one million teenagers become pregnant year round, according to the National Campaign to Prevent Teenage Pregnancy. Around 750,000 of 15- to 19-year-olds become pregnant each year, according to The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, though many teenagers do not believe that they will get pregnant if they engage in sexual activity. Why are there so many teens pregnant? And why do they do it in the first place if they know they are going to regret it ? The answer is too much freedom and absolutely no discipline.Teenagers don't understand the fact that one day they'll regret it , but the problem is that they say,"Oh, no. That will never happen to me, I have self-control,” but when that self-control isn't controllable anything can happen. Generally, a girl having been pregnant before adulthood is critically looked down with shame. Basically, teenage pregnancy occurs due to the following reasons: consequences of raging hormones, peer group pressure, contraceptive failures, lack of knowledge, abuse or rape, absent parent, glamorization of pregnancy, and teenage drinking.…

Since girls were married at a young age, teen pregnancy was accepted, also. In this generation teen pregnancy is still just as common as it was then, but without the girls being married or even in a relationship. “1. 3 in 10 teen American girls will get pregnant at least once before ago 20. That 's nearly 750,000 teen pregnancies every year. 3. Less than 2 percent of teen moms earn a college degree by age 30. 5. The United States has one of the highest teen pregnancy rates in the western industrialized world. 10. Almost fifty percent of teens have never considered how pregnancy would affect their lives.” (The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy) Due to teen pregnancy rates being so high, Americans have to learn to accept and adapt to this being a new custom. “Based on a teen survey his organization conducted in 2009, a vast majority (eighty-seven percent) of teens who watched the MTV show 16 and Pregnant reported that they felt the show helped demonstrate to them the true hardships that teenage pregnancy can bring to both girls and boys. In contrast, very few (seventeen percent) felt the show actually glorified teen pregnancy.” (Silvers) These shows help to show the struggles that all the young girls starring in them face. By putting their stories out there they are helping to reduce teen pregnancy rates. Even though there are shows to…

Many mothers that delay having children until an older age risk losing time seeing their child grow up. It is more difficult for older parents to cope and get around living with a teenager. For instance, my aunt had her first child at the age of 45 and her second child at 48; which means she will be mid sixties and mid seventies when her children reach their teenage years. Also, parents may not quite understand what his or her child needs on occasions. The majority of teens living with older parents will experience their parent’s demise before they are able to start their own family. This could be distressing for the young adult to…
