4. "Why did your parents give you your name - what is the story of your name? Are you named after someone or some place? If you don't know why you have your name, make up a story."
1. My name is Viet Nga. Anyone who sees my name at the first time, will think of something relating to Viet Nam and Russia. It's right. It's a romantic love story of my parents and my name was given to memorize the time and the place where my mother met and loved my father.
Back in 1985, a Vietnamese student was sent to Russia for his study.
He was a very active and open-hearted man. He always took part in every outdoor activities of the university. He played guitar and sang some Russian folk songs very well.
A Russian girl who was his class mate, liked his voice very much and she made friends with him.
After 4 years studying aboard, he returned Vietnam, his home land. The Russian girl realized that her heart did belong to him, so she decided to go with him to visit Vietnam and his relatives.
Not very long after that, they got married and a year later, she gave birth to a son. Of course the son on the love story above is me.
At first, I had the name of Viết Nga because it was difficult for my mother to pronounce the word "Việt" in a correct way. But with her love for Vietnam country and for her husband, she still called my middle name Việt with no pronunciation mistake.
I have been called Việt Nga since then. My name is so meaningful. It show not only the friendship between the two countries Vietnam and Russia, but also the power of love that bring a person thousand miles apart to come to live in the same house.
I love my name very much and so do my parents. Simply because my name is their love memory.

Princess Potsy. A Princess combined with Potsy, or Potluri. What is this strange name? Well, it’s mine. It started out as my brother as a joke within the debate team, but then, I came along. The days where I started working on debate were the days that Princess Potsy became viral. Some say it’s because our facial structure is exactly alike, but when a kind person named Daisy, who you probably know as Jenna, decided to call my brother Queen, I got stuck being Princess Potsy, or Princess for short. My brother Vamsi got the nickname Queen Potsy, and I inherited his old nickname, as I with other things, and now I am Princess Potsy.…

I’m not that fond of my last name, however, I always receive compliments on it. I will agree it’s pretty neat, though. It’s the Swiss German (Switzerland and Germany) variant of Zumbro (Mooseroots). No one can spell it correctly, even though it’s clearly spelled how it sounds. I am part German and I actually speak a minimal amount, so I’m proud of the fact my last name represents that, but I’ve never met one human that has said it right on the first…

My siblings have pretty normal names too. My brother is William and my sister is Jennifer. My middle name is Robert. It was given to me because it is my father’s name, and his middle name is his father’s name, and so on. I guess my parents wanted to keep the tradition. My last name is Guedes.
