Sergeant First Class Amie M. Macklin is originally from La Mirada, California. She moved to Highspire Pennsylvania when she was in 4th grade and graduated from Steelton-Highspire high school in 1996. She enlisted into the Army in September 1998 from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She served as a Personnel Service Specialist for the United States Transition Center in Fort Eustis, Virginia from 1999 to 2000.
In March 2004, Sergeant First Class Macklin enlisted into the Army Reserve and served as a Human Resource Specialist for Headquarters, Headquarters Detachment of the 3rd Brigade 80th Division in Harrisburg Pennsylvania. While assigned there Sergeant First Class Macklin was selected for recruiting duty in March 2005. Her first duty assignment as a Recruiter was for Carlisle Recruiting Company. Her additional assignments within the Harrisburg Recruiting Battalion included Assist Station Commander, Equal Opportunity Leader, Unit Fund Council and Unit Prevention Leader. In August 2010, Sergeant First Class Macklin was assigned to the 1st Medical Recruiting Battalion where she is serving as a Medical Recruiter for the Elkridge Recruiting Station.
Sergeant First Class Macklin is currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program with Touro University International University. Her accomplishments include being named the 1000 Harrisburg Recruiting Battalion New Recruiter of the Year, the 1000 Harrisburg Recruiting Battalion Recruiter of the Year. She has also earned the Commanding General’s Gold Badge, Recruiting Ring and inducted as a Member of the Glenn E. Morrell Order of Recruiting Excellence.
She has graduated from the Warrior Leader Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course and the Army Recruiter Course. Her awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal and the Army Achievement Medal with six Oak Leaf Cluster.
