Sexual violence has been largely incorporated into entertainment media, specifically music, for quite some time. Within the last fifty years explicit music has become more wide spread, possibly more accepted as a   part of this society. Music from the last thirty to forty years, but predominately today, has introduced more and more violence, sexuality, and drugs.
This is not because people have changed necessarily or because human beings are becoming less self aware, at least not in this case, but more specifically because of the quantity of music and ease of access to such music. With the internet, satellite enabled phones and mobile devices, technology has made all types of media or any type of information literally available at an individuals finger tips.
Personally, the mixture of sexuality and violence has intrigued me. Mankind seems to obviously become best of both worlds with the ability to love and hate. Human beings have mastered both. It amazes me how a creature, while alike to his or her brothers and sisters in all ways, be so different.
I have chosen five songs which all incorporate sexual violence, which include: Guns N' Roses, I Used To Love Her, Avenged Seven Fold, A Little Piece Of Heaven, Eminem, Kim, Prodigy, Smack My Bitch Up, and Cannibal Corpse, Necropedophile. After analyzing all the songs, it is obvious that they have stemmed from a dark and disturbed place within their writers heart and mind. Some of the bands, like Prodigy, are simply repeating the same two lines over and over again, which are illustrating how an individual is energizing him or self to physically abuse another person. While those two lines of lyrics alone have no actually meaning and subsequently are quite childish and rude, when the lyrics are coupled with the music, which is very high tempo and hypnotic, an individual can become engaged in the rhythm regardless of the lyrics.
