CHAPTER I
THE PROBLEM AND ITS SETTING
This chapter presents the background of the study, the statement of the problem, the assumptions made in accordance with the design of the project, the scope and delimitation, the significance of the study, the research design and methodology, and the definition of terms used in the study.

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
(discussion of the importance of the proposed project to the ECE coarse/ study globally) (are there Psp – Controlled Robot Arm Demonstration Module already proposed globally) (what are the concept / principle of the proposed project for the ECE students globally) (what are the features and cost of available robot arm in market) (universities abroad which uses robot arm as a demonstration and advantages for the coarse ECE)(features and cost) (Philippines which uses robot arm as a demonstration and advantages for the coarse ECE)(features and cost) (within baguio (UC/UB/UP) are there any robot arm used as demonstration for the coarse ECE in the location)(features and cost) (inside SLU robot arm which are already available and used as demonstration(2 are already made inside SLU 1 from the group of pasos))(features and cost) (lastly why do you propose a PSP – controlled robot arm demonstration module?)

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
The main problem of this technical study is how to design and to construct a Psp – Controlled Robot Arm Demonstration Module. Specifically the researchers seek to answer the following problems:

1. How will the propose Psp – Controlled Robot Arm Demonstration Module operate? 2. How will the following be incorporated in the proposed system: a. Wireless interfacing,
b. Driving the Servomotor
c. and Processing of Received data from the router?
3. What are the hardware requirements necessary in the construction of the robotic arm: a. Each servomotors sizes and other specifications
b. and the obstruction that can affect the router
4. How will the microcontroller be programmed to be able to control the: a. Gripping of certain objects
b. and Rotation of motor

CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK
The study first took into consideration identification of the importance of it in terms of its educational aspect to the ECE department both instructor and student for educational purposes and also at which it will be placed. After evaluation, the study revolved on how the proposed PSP – Controlled Robot Arm Demonstration Module will be used for hands on experience and educational purposes. After construction, the result was a PSP – Controlled Robot Arm Demonstration Module for the SLU Electronics Engineering Department. Figure #. shows the paradigm of the proposed PSP – Controlled Robot Arm Demonstration Module for the SLU Electronics Engineering Department.

1. Operation of the proposed PSP – Controlled Robot Arm Demonstration Module, in terms of: a. Manipulating and Calibrating the link between PSP and Robot Arm. b. Programming.
2. Hardware and Software requirements of the PSP – Controlled Robot Arm Demonstration Module.

PROCESS
1. Design and construction of the proposed PSP – Controlled Robot Arm Demonstration Module. 2. Testing and Calibrating the controls of the proposed PSP – Controlled Robot Arm Demonstration Module.

OUTPUT

PSP – Controlled Robot Arm Demonstration Module for the SLU Electronics Engineering Department.
