Singing our Last Goodbyes

A countdown has started; our high school life is coming to an end… And this is not just any typical high school life we’re talking about; it’s an “RS life” which we can’t deny, is unlike any other. The chapter of our lives entitled “Senior Year” has just started but at the same time, it is also on its way to the unwanted ending. This year, everything’s our last. This year, we have to make every second count. This year, we have to bear in our minds that this won’t last forever. The time will come that we will have to let go, move on, and accept the reality that we would soon be leaving our beloved high school grounds with graduation caps on our heads. The journey ends there and there would be no replay button for us. Our story of being altogether is ending. But before that, let’s go back and reminisce the memories we’ve treasured since we’ve met each other…

June 4, 2007. It was the day when our journey as RSHS students began. Fear might have been in our hearts that day. We have entered our training grounds. We had a thought in mind that we would only be squeezing our brains out during the four years of this high school life. But we were wrong. Yes, being an RS student is tough. Elementary days are nothing compared to the troubles we face during high school. But during the first weeks of our freshmen year, we started learning. Not only about Earth Science, Elementary Algebra or other subjects but we learned how to stand united. We learned the values of friendship. We learned to stand up for each other. Section by section, we learned how to face and solve problems together and our silly childish fights were solved. Those days can never be replaced because it was the start of our best journey.
