COASTAL FEATURES AT
SENA BAY
AIM OF STUDY
The aim of this study is to identify and describe the features of coastal deposition and erosion of SENA BAY, Balandra, Trinidad
and to explain how they were formed.
METHODOLOGY
WHERE : SENA BAY ,BALANDRA
TRINIDAD (Fig 1+2)
WHEN : Wednesday 21st October ,2009
HOW :
Before the trip ,the class revised and researched coastal features using our text books and the internet .We drew two maps using an atlas and topographical maps.
On the trip the class walked along the coastline and stopped where each feature could be clearly seen .When a feature was viewed ,it was sketched and photos were taken ,the feature was measured with measuring tape .The angle of the beach was measured using clinometers .Notes were taken on the characteristics of each feature
All data and information was put together ,summarized and each student used their own information to write up his SBA.

INTRODUCTION
On Monday the th of October ,we went on a field trip to SENA BAY ,balandra in Trinidad .SENA BAY is located on the east coast of Trinidad .
On arrival at SENA BAY we observed scattered clouds in the sky and recorded a wind speed of 11 to 16km/h coming from a north-easterly direction .A hot temperature of 29 degrees Celsius and a humidity of 73% was recorded .The tide was low and waves were breaking at 9 per... [continues]
