ABSTRACT
The effects of passive smoking are recently demonstrated by many studies all over the world. This paper, based on secondary research, informs the adverse impacts of breathing other people’s tobacco smoke on health, especially on children’s and expectant women’s health. The findings of the research indicate that if people expose to passive smoking, they are likely to suffer from various diseases, some of them can cause cancers or even death. Finally, based on the findings, the paper draws the conclusion that secondhand smoke is very harmful and people should find efficient methods to minimize its effects.

1.Introduction
Perhaps many of us know about smoking and its effects on smokers’ health. But what about passive smoking? Do we have much knowledge about it? What is passive smoking and what are the adverse impacts of passive smoking on human’s health? In the Ash research report (2011, p.5) it is defined that “ Breathing other people’s smoke is known as passive smoking, involuntary or secondhand smoke”. Also in this report it is cited that “The World Health Organization has estimated that nearly 700 million, or almost half of the world’s children, are exposed to tobacco smoke”. Besides, the article named “Healthy Homes- Indoor Air Quality” on the website www.lancaster.uln.edu found that tobacco smoke includes more than 4,000 chemicals, of which 200 elements are considered poisons and 40 chemicals may cause cancer. Furthermore, children and expectant women are those who especially suffer the effects of toxic chemicals in tobacco smoke. Therefore, this research paper will inform about the negative effects of passive smoking on children’s and pregnant women’s health. 2. Discussion of findings
