It also includes auction or bidding, online banking, travel services and real estates. Study shows that there was growth of B2C 39% to 48% in the year of 2010.
Fast growth of internet is also as an alternative for companies products to a larger market.
B2C benefits both parties; sellers and buyers which can reduce costs of transaction.
It allows buyers to gather more information about the products and make their own choice without anybody’s interference.
They can do the transaction at any time from any places.

As for this case, the consumers can buy any products offered by Second Life virtually.   In order to create avatar we must have custom avatar design. Since there are varieties of products and services offered they can do the transaction online. As an example, for online 3D virtual game, consumers can purchase shirts or shoes before start to join other members. If they win the game, the value of these items might increase and there are other players would like purchase them. This transaction will turn into real cash when the party deposit to owner of the shirts and shoes.

B2B: BUSINESS-TO-BUSINESS

It is commerce transaction between the businesses over the web. The transaction is higher volume because of supply of chain i.e. raw materials, manufacturer, wholesaler and retailer.

Related to this case, if they venture into clothing line, they need cotton from the planters before send it manufacturer. Once it is ready, they will send it to wholesaler whom then will distribute it to wide range of retailer.
