What is“Hate Group “you ask? A hate group is an organized group or movement that advocates and practices hatred, hostility, or violence towards members of a race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation or other designated sectors of society. According to the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), hate groups primary purpose is to promote animosity, hostility, and malice against persons belonging to a race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or ethnicity/national origin which differs from that of the members of the organization. According to the Southern Poverty Law Center's definition of a "hate group" includes those having beliefs or practices that attack or malign an entire class of people, typically for their immutable characteristics.

While researching I found many different types of classification for the intelligence project. Here are a few ideology classifications and groups that fall under hate groups. Anti-Gay (American Family Association), Anti-Immigration (California Coalition), Black Separatist (Nation of Islam, New Black Panther Party, Nuwaubian Nation of Moors) Neo- Confederate (The league of the South), Klu Klux Klan (Brotherhood of Klans, Church of the National Knights of the Klu Klux Klan), etc. Out of all of these hate groups I’ve only heard of one group and it is “The Black Panther Party. I never knew so many hate groups existed until now. California has the highest number of Hate groups. That isn’t surprising at all because California has a growing population. It also isn’t surprising because I know of some gangs such as bloods and Crips that live in California. There are 32 Hate groups in Ohio here are a few of them: American National Socialist Party
