4. KOTHARI COMMISSION (1965-66)
(INDIAN EDUCATION COMMISSION)

The Central Government appointed in 1965 the Indian Education Commission (I.E.S)
under the chairmanship of Dr S. Kothari Chairman, university grants commission.
The Government of India define the purpose of   the commission thus : “The commission will advise the government on the national pattern of education and on the general principles
and polices for the development of education at all stages and in all its aspects”
