Screen Printing
In order to be successful in screenprinting you must complete the following: receiving an order, creating a screen, printing a sign, packaging the orders, and sending out shipments. Every worker must perform their job correctly in order for the process to go smoothly. Each of these steps are key to the screenprinting business. The first step in this process is receiving an order. When a business needs signs they place their order. They can choose the complete layout of these signs. Once their order is placed, a worker puts it into the computer. That computer will create a film of their sign. This film will be an identical copy of the costumers soon to be signs. A worker will tape the film to a screen and place it in an oversized photo scanner. Here, the scanner will take the image on the film and transfer it to the screen. Five screens are made for this one image. Each screen is unique, since each one does something different. Certain screens use certain colors which make up an image. After all five of the screens are ready and prepared it will be time to move on to the next step. In this next step the order the customer placed will be created. The five screens are put into place in order by their color. Every sign that is created is made up of the same five colors; Magenta, Cyan, Yellow, Black, and Clear. No matter the image they all contain these five colors. To produce an image it is imperative to know the specific amount of color needed. While the screens are in their place, machines run the signs under each one of them. A squiggy will glide across the screen allowing ink to print the image onto the sign. When all five of the colors blend together you receive a clear image and an amazing looking sign. Once you have your signs printed, you can move on to the next step which is packaging the orders. When signs are printed and come off of the machines they have to be premasked for protection. Premask is a layer of paper that covers the

    3d Printing Technology

This research journal article discusses how 3D Printing technology may effect federal firearms regulations. The focus of the article is that, due to the development of 3D Printing technology, individuals, even people without technical expertise, now have the ability to use the new technology to produce guns at home much more easily than they ever have before. This behavior might bring great harm to society. However, if a comprehensive prohibition on using 3D Printers to manufacture personal weapons were implemented, it might defy the 2008 District of Columbia v. Heller Supreme Court decision. In fact, the increasing popularity of 3D Printing means lawmakers must decide soon whether or not to allow 3D Printing of weapons. 3D Printing either should only be allowed to produce things that cannot be used as lethal weapons. Or, secondly, it can be used to produce a physical, working gun. The second option might achieve advances in 3D printing technology and promote the development of firearms design. However, developments in 3D Printing technology are creating concerns that not only legitimate consumers but also criminals are able to “print” firearms at home. If the law doesn’t allow individuals to use 3D printers to manufacturer personal weapons like handguns, it might be illegal according to the Second Amendment of the Constitution, a provision which protects the right of individuals to possess firearms under the law. Specifically, under the 2nd Amendment individuals may have the right to create their own firearms for self-defense, and the right to the manufacture firearms technology and materials.…
