You said you grew three plants with a light to the left of them and three plants with a light to the right of them.   The leaves of the plants with the light on the left turned toward the left and the tops of the plants grew toward the left.   The leaves of the plants with the light on the right turned toward the right and the tops grew toward the right.
Does that support your hypothesis that plants respond to the light? This experiment does explain my hypothesis that plants respond to the light. The way this experiment was conducted was that I would put three plants with a light to the left of them and three plants with a light to the right of them. What happened at the end of the experiment was the plants grew towards the light in which the plants were placed. This conclusion proves the point that a plant responds to light. A plant uses light
In a real life situation a baby is a great subject for the Scientific Method. A baby that is in my care starts crying. Is the baby hungry? No. Is the baby wet? No. Is there something physically wrong with the baby? Not that I could see. So maybe the baby is bored. Upon coming to this hypothesis I could get out some toys and play with the baby. The baby all the sudden stops crying. My final observation is that the baby was bored so it started crying. So how long will this baby play with the toys before it gets bored again?
In the first experiment with the plants the observation and questioning was that if the plants were placed in the window in different positions would the sunlight affect the way the plants grew? The sunlight did affect the way the plants grew. The hypothesis was that the plants would grow in the direction of the sunlight so that the plants could make food from the sunlight. When the plants were... [continues]
