What factors will make an Alka-Seltzer tablet dissolve faster? My theory is that the Alka-Seltzer will dissolve faster in the warm water and slower in the cold water because the more heat something has the more energy the atoms or molecules in the object get. So in hot water the molecules inside are moving around really fast and have tons of energy to dissolve the tablet while in cold water the molecules are still moving around but at a slower pace therefore taking longer to dissolve the tablet.

The materials I used are:
* Alka-Seltzers (15),
* Tap water (100 ml),
* Warm water (100 ml),
* Acidic water/vinegar (100 ml),
* Cold water (100 ml),
* Salt water (100 ml),
* 3 beakers,
* Timer/iPhone
* Goggles,
* Heating plate

The procedures I followed step by step are:

1) Put safety goggles on
2) Fill beaker with 100 ml of tap water
3) Put Alka-Seltzer in tap water and start timer
4) When Alka-Seltzer is done dissolving, stop timer
5) After timer is stopped, record time on data table
6) Repeat steps 2-5 for cold, warm, acidic, and salt water 7) Repeat steps 2-6 two more times
8) Clean up materials

So, what types of factors will make an Alka-Seltzer tablet dissolve faster. Well my theory was that the tablet will dissolve the fastest in cold water and the slowest in cold water because in hot water the molecules inside are moving around really fast and have tons of energy to dissolve the tablet while in cold water the molecules are still moving around but at a slower pace therefore making the tablet dissolve slower. My theory/hypothesis was supported because the warm water was the fastest and it took the tablet only 13.9...
