Six Dimensions of Health Worksheet
For each of the following six dimensions of health, list at least one characteristic, activity, belief, or attitude that reflects that dimension in your life. Provide a brief explanation with each example. Refer to Ch. 1 in the text for explanations of these dimensions.
Physical health: This is about the body size. I like walking for my exercise to try and stay in shape and to lose weight. Most women are not happy about their body size, I am just ok with my body size but need to start working out on a steady basics. I try to walk on my 15 min break at work and it makes me feel more awake and alert.
Social health: Social health means being able to deal with others, having satisfying relationship. My son has issues with dealing with people in person and on the phone. He cannot interact with society at all. He can only interact with a few friends and only immediately family those that he feels safe with.
Intellectual health: The ability to think clearly and make reasonable decisions. With intellectual health, it is the ability to know right from wrong. I have to be clear headed at work to make the right decisions and to be able to deal with customers with is part of the social health. I have to be able to open and close the registers and be sure that they come out with the correct closing amount.
Environmental health: This is around the world around you and your surroundings. You have to protect and preserve by being conscience of recycling, not dumping oil into the soil, repurposing items instead of just throwing into the trash. I am trying to protecting the environmental for my granddaughter, by using a reusable water bottle and not adding tons of plastic water bottles to the land fields.
