Six Dimensions of Health Worksheet
For each of the following six dimensions of health, list at least one characteristic, activity, belief, or attitude that reflects that dimension in your life. Provide a brief explanation with each example. Refer to Ch. 1 in the text for explanations of these dimensions.
I like to take walks or ride my bike with my family. It allows me to get some fresh air, exercise and some good quality time with my loved ones. It is especially nice to get a break from reality and to live in the moment.
I do not have a lot of time to socialize with friends as I would like to. Since my work consists of talking to many different people on a daily basis as well as my fellow employees, it helps to keep my social health in great shape as I am still able to have conversation so I am good to go when it comes to my social health.
Being is school allows me to continue to grow more intellectually. I have found that since being back in school has caused me to remember some things that I learned but apparently I forgot. My vocabulary has grown and as I learn I implement my knowledge into my daily life which has made me want to keep learning and growing.
I have never been one to recycle religiously but I have always taught my children that we do not litter. I also work with my sister and we live thirty minutes from work so we car pool to save on gas. Although that is the main reason, we are also causing less pollution to occur by taking one vehicle.
I am for the most part pretty well rounded when it comes to my emotions. I have the ability to know when and where certain emotions should be expressed. I also try to express my emotions in a manner that is appropriate. I also have to know if I am talking to someone that I asses my situation so when I express myself that person understands me....
