Scholarship Essay

I am interested in your Corporation's assistance program for undergraduate students.   I have been accepted into UW Oshkosh for the 2011 fall term.  
I would like to extend a thank you to your company, for supplying scholarship oppertunities for new college bound students. Below is my letter supplying you with the information requested, again, thank you for your interest in helping students like me.   I hope to hear from you soon.

When I was a little girl, my dreams were to be a princes, a lawyer, or whatever my mind could dream up.   I would always go up to my parents with my big "am-I-cute" grin, and describe to them my wild dreams of a prince slaying dragons for me, or fighting an arguement and actually winning. Looking back on it, the one thing that my parents have always told me, somehow relates perfectly to this topic: "you can succeed at whatever you set your mind to". At first the saying ment nothing to me, and everytime I heard it I shrugged it off and kept playing with my barbies, or coloring pictures.   However, the saying has become more and more meaningful as I grow older.   The phrase has created an imprint on me and it helps me get through a lot of the obsticles that come up in my life. I now find success to be a word that can only be defined by each person individually.   Success is a very debatable word, with a very debatable definition.   I defince success to be, doing and accomplishing a goal or dream.
                    I have set goals for myself, and I plan to accomplish these goals to the best of my ability.   Throughout my life I have had to endure many hardships, and set backs which I almost allowed to get the best of me, but thankfully, I have also had many good come into my life in order to keep me on the right path.   These good influences have allowed me to remain focused on my career and school goals.   My goals consist of going to school for my masters' degree in Social Work with a minor in Psychology.   I have already been successful...
