Have you ever seen a man walking slovenly on one of the congested streets of the city, saying nonsense words to himself, and claiming that he was Adolph Hitler that would declare an all out war over extra terrestrials of Mars? Have you ever asked yourself what’s wrong with this guy? A person eliciting such uncanny behavior is schizophrenic and the disorder he acquired is schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is characterized by deteriorating personality that occurs mostly on persons from lower socio-economic groups that often shows symptoms of delusions, hallucinations, and disorganized speech.
For a long time, the peculiar behavior of schizophrenics was negatively evaluated by the members of a particular society. In other words, persons suffering from the disorder often behave in ways that are viewed as objectionable or unacceptable by the people around them. Somehow its true, but such kind of thought must be impede.
Realizing that schizophrenics are also humans regardless of their abnormal behavior, the researchers wanted to instill within the minds of the readers that schizophrenics are not supposed to be feared but rather understand their understand their conventional thought and have a positive picture of who they are. The society should eradicate their negative perceptions towards schizophrenics and change it to a better one.
This research covers the fundamental facts, general ideas about schizophrenia and the positive outlook about schizophrenics. It doesn’t include the negative perception of an individual diagnosed with the noted psychological disorder and so do with its etiolology.
