PEACE Domestic Violence Agency’s purpose is to reduce victim trauma, empower survivors, and promote recovery through direct services (appendix B). The program helps to provide interventions to stop violence in their victim’s home. They provide counseling support to those families that have been through violence, whether the violence is coming from youth to the adults, from the parents to children, among the siblings, or the entire family.
The Evaluation Plan for PEACE Domestic Violence Agency
Evaluation plans are very important for organizations and their programs. They help make the necessary changes so the program can be successful. The agency is very much needed because the city of Portland has been experiencing an increasing of domestic and youth violence, spousal and child abuse, assault, and incidents with road rage. So this program is needed and those exposed to the violence will have effects which can have major damaging effects on all the people involved. Violence in general, more so family violence, can leave individuals and children vulnerable and acceptable to future abuse later on in their adulthood. The evaluation plan for the agency will help end and prevent future and present violence by implementing prevention and education. PEACE will help educate families on ways of raising a healthy family relationship between the individuals involved. PEACE will provide the framework to educate on and prevent violence. The evaluation plan will outline a plan that will work for the family to understand, strengthen and educate them on respect of nonviolent actions. The process evaluation plan will help review the services and benefits the clients receive by using methods. It will also document the problems and what is working in the program regarding the target population through interviews questionnaires and their feedback.
