Automatic scarecrow for farm protection

Introduction:
It is device which is use in farm. It is use to protect farm from bird. This device helps to increase the yield of farm. This device consists of sensor (PIR motion) which will detect the bird or living or non living thing. It also consists of slider which helps to give motion (vertical) to scarecrow. The motion of slider is given by gear motor (10R.P.M). Battery is also use to store electricity which is generated with the help solar panel and Dynamo.

Working:
Working of this device (Automatic Scarecrow) is fully depending upon the sensor (PIR motion). Sensor will detect the bird. After detecting bird sensor immediately give signal to slider i.e. to motor. Due to that Scarecrow will move up and down with rotary motion which is attached to slider. Buzzer will also make noise due to that bird will fly from that area. The stored electrical energy is utilized to give working motion to gear motor (i.e.is attached to drum pulley and rotary motor of scarecrow).

We have already seen the working of Automatic Scarecrow. We will have quick look at all the components of Automatic Scarecrow. * Gear motor (10rpm).

Gear motor:
Introduction:

10 RPM Centre Shaft standard Series DC Motor is high quality low cost DC geared motor. It has steel gears and pinions to ensure longer life and better wear and tear properties. The gears are fixed on hardened steel spindles polished to a mirror finish. The output shaft rotates in a plastic bushing. The whole assembly is covered with a plastic ring. Gearbox is sealed and lubricated with lithium grease and require no maintenance. The motor is screwed to the gear box from inside. Motor gives 10 RPM at 12V and runs smoothly. Motors give wide range of RPM, and torque. No load current as a function of voltage and stall torque, stall current as a function of voltage.

The light dependent resistor (LDR):
Introduction:

A light-dependent resistor alternatively called an LDR, photo resistor, photoconductor, or photocell, is a variable resistor whose value decreases with increasing incident light intensity.

An LDR is made of a high-resistance semiconductor. If light falling on the device is of high enough frequency, photons absorbed by the semiconductor give bound electrons enough energy to jump into the conduction band. The resulting free electron (and its hole partner) conduct electricity, thereby lowering resistance.
