EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This report consists of detail of the Management Activities of “SANOFI AVENTIS” which is working in Pakistani and in abroad as well producing

pharmaceutical products for different sort of diseases. The purpose of the report is to fully explain the management activities which Sanofi Aventis used and is currently using. It starts with the introduction, history of Sanofi Aventis, Management System, hierarchy of its core departments etc. which explains the strongest management of Sanofi Aventis and whether Sanofi Aventis has done product development, market development, market penetration or diversification. In the last section of the report the overall management strategy is evaluated. And finally we have given recommendation that how according to us Sanofi Aventis can improve their management strategy to become the leader of their competitors.

HISTORY OF SANOFI AVENTIS:
Sanofi Aventis have a very complex history this company was founded in 1973 by Elf Aquitaine, a French oil company after having a number of mergers, when it took control of Labaz Pharmaceutical. It merged in 1999 with Synthelabo to form Sanofi-Synthelabo.

SYNTHELABO:
Synthelabo was founded in 1970 through the merger of two older French firms, Lab Dausse and Lab Robert & Carriere. The resulting company was purchased by L’Oreal in 1973.

AVENTIS:
Aventis was formed in 1999 by the merger of Rhone-Poulenc and Hoescht, two large and long-standing European pharmaceutical firms.

SANOFI-AVENTIS:
Sanofi-Aventis was formed, in 2004, by the merger of Sanofi-Synthelabo and Aventis. Each of which was themselves the product of a long history of mergers. The resulting company becomes the largest pharmaceutical company in Europe.
