As Apple began to flourish other companies began to create tablets also like the Samsung Galaxy Tab. The Samsung Galaxy Tab is powered by Android and is sold through Verizon and sprint. The galaxy tab was introduced on September 2 2010 by the Samsung Company. The competition is fierce between each for the following reasons.
The Apple iPad 2 was released on March 2 2011; it is 33% thinner than its predecessor. It has a better predecessor; a Dual core Apple A5 that Apple says is twice as fast as its predecessor for CPU operations and up to nine times as fast for GPU operations. It comes with front and back camera that supports the face time video calling application, as well as a three- axis gyroscope. It supports a 10 hour battery life so long days without a charger will not be a problem. The iPad comes with three capacities for storage 16, 32, or 64 GB internal flash memory. The iPad can use Wi-Fi network to provide applications such as Google maps and availability to surf the web for free.
The price for the iPad 2 is sold in three different prices depending on the storage space inquired. A 16 GB iPad 2 is sold for $499.00, 32GB is sold for $599.00 and the 64GB is sold for $699.00. They come in two colors black and white and come with different accessories for those who want to change the colors but also want to protect their iPad 2 from damage in case of a fall.
