ACKNOWLEGMENT

The fulfillment of this humble undertaking would not have been possible without the persons who, in one way or another, have contributed for this undertaking to be realized. Hence, the researcher would like to express his profound gratitude to the following: Mr. Cabahug, my English teacher, who helped me create the questionnaire used in this study. To all the high school students who answered the questions honestly. Finally, to my teammates during the study, Joey Uy, Paolo Sabarre, Rock Lee, Johann Reyes, Jose Lao III, Klaus Hofer, and Eduardo Alvarez, I couldn’t have done it without you.

ABSTRACT

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of class advisors in the performance of their job in PAREF Springdale School. The researcher decided to conduct this experiment because many of the class advisors in PAREF Springdale are known to be hated because of their strict rules in class. Many different students have particular likes and dislikes in a class advisor. Some advisors are strict while some tend to be more lenient. The researcher made a questionnaire about the student’s perception on the effectiveness of class advisors. The researcher then distributed the questionnaires to all the high school students. According to his research, most students agree that their advisors are doing their jobs and only a few disagree. The researcher also found out that most advisors are well respected by their students.

Rationale of the Study
Being a Springdale student is a task in itself. It is not easy being a student here in Springdale. Springdale commands a lot from its students. It trains a student to be independent. Class advisors are there to help the students in their academic and personal problems. Advisors are also there to serve as a messenger to tell the parents about their respective sons. Class advisors are sometimes hated by students because they don’t want to be told what to do. Some advisors are also hated because of what they say to the parents of their students. Yet, most advisors are respected and loved by students because of their ability to help them in class. Class advisors are sometimes the best friends of the students. How effective are class advisors?...
