Computerization of process makes the work more convenient and Information Technology plays a big role in business and economy. Information Technology provides ways and making the best solutions that aid complains to their operations and future investments, leading to their success. Technology innovate business processes and paving the way to new heights of development improving the flow or ways of business is to be done. Most importantly, technology in combination with the principles of business applicants, data communications, shapes the future for decades to come. Point-of-Sales system offers a wide selection of features to improve control of your business and save time spent on inventory, purchasing and accounting. Point of sale (POS) systems is electronic systems that provide businesses with the capability to retain and analyze a wide variety of inventory and transaction data on a continuous basis. POS systems have been touted as valuable tools for a wide variety of business purposes, including refining target marketing strategies; tracking supplier purchases; determining customer purchasing patterns; analyzing sales (on a daily, monthly, or annual basis) of each inventory item, department, or supplier; and creating reports for use in making purchases, reorders, etc. Basic points of sale systems currently in use include standalone electronic cash registers, also known as ECRs; ECR-based network systems; and controller-based systems. All function essentially as sales and cash management tools, but each has features that are unique. At the inventory control, the computer keeps the store's inventory, so the POS terminals attached to it automatically update inventory with every sale or return. In multi-store environments the person at the POS station can check stock in other stores if this store is out of stock. The central office knows at all times how many stock each store has.On Inventory Analysis, the system knows at what rate each item is selling at all times, making it easy to decide what quantity to reorder. Trends can be identified to reduce buying mistakes. In multi-store environments the central office can see the differences in item movement from store to store, making it easy to account for local or regional preferences.

In almost everything that we do every day, it is safe to say that the benefit that we harness in tapping the potential of technology is priceless. Those tasks that were almost impossible to accomplish during the previous generations can now be done in the most efficient ways possible. Having access to the Internet increases man’s knowledge base and accelerates the speed of transactions in the business world as well. That is why there is no doubt that the most important invention that man has made is the computer.

The urge of owning a computer system drifted from being a ‘want’ to a ‘need’. The market for laptops and desktop computers has grown to the extent that prices that were once sky-high have dropped low, which allowed almost every household to own their own computer units. The availability of computer parts and hardware has expanded that computer hardware shops sprouted like mushrooms in malls and other business areas.
