Sales and Inventory Control is an inventory tracking system that gives you up-to-the-minute detailed information on each item in your inventory. BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
As envisioned 3 years ago, The JBB Optical Stop, located at Lorez Plaza in Antipolo, a definitive name in the eyewear and eye care industry, began its pioneering concept of a one-stop eyewear center in 2008 with eye care service sales and fashion center, all under one roof. People behind this innovative endeavor are Dr. Gil E. Divinagracia, an Optometrist and Dr. Noel Santos, another Optometrist. The Optical Shop was borne in response to the growing public need for the convenience of getting all their optical products in just one place. The Company fulfilled these needs, and at the same time, had grown into a very successful venture - trailblazing its way towards the forefront of the eyewear and eye care industry.
The purpose for which the business was constituted was to provide high quality lenses with affordable prices within the vicinity of Antipolo.
JBB Optical Stop is just starting, they dont have enough resources to make things easier. They are using manual procedures to do transactions.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
This study was conducted to investigate the inabilty to secure, manage and store a large amount of data of JBB Optical Stop of its patient, inventory and sales transaction. Specific Problems:
Tendency of loosing and tracking of stored information and sale transaction. •
Inaccurate calculation during sales transaction.
Time-consuming organization of records and data.
Unorganized keeping of records(patient, products, etc.)
Inefficient maintainable records.
Objective of the Study
It is our general objectives to develop an efficient computerized sales and inventory system and maintanable record. Specific Objectives:
To design the appropriate program for the system.
To ensure security of records through computerize recording and database keeping. •
To save time and effort on keeping the record by adding patients record and inventory form to the system. •
To make an accurate formulas for computations in forms during sales transaction. •
To make an report to be able to track sales transaction.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
As a student ready to face the real world, this study will improve our knowledge in the business and system development aspect. This will enhance our capability as prorammers through system designing and information gathering. Having only limited knowledge on vb.net (Computer programming knowledge), we will be force to do a hard research on codes applicable for it. It will also improve our knowledge in sentence construction and grammar.
