2. PROJECT DESCRIPTION 3.1. Problem Statement
How to design, develop and implement a Computerized Sales and Inventory System with DSS for Haldimand Auto Supply that will improve their business operation?
Haldimand Auto Supply is working under manual method that causes the customer dissatisfaction. Just to make sure that there’s no customer will come back to the store complaining for miscomputation, the personnel consume more time in re-computing the total purchased. They also encounter problems such as updating their copies of receipt sand notebook when customer returned some items. They also had difficulties in accessing the item in the inventory due to manual business operation. 3.2.1. Specific Problem

1. How to design, develop and implement a module that will improve their inventory status?
Haldimand Auto Supply conducts their inventory annually. They manually count their inventory during the day of the month of December. They find it hard to count all the items. It takes a lot of time to count all the items left and the recording of the information include on the piece of paper. 2. How to design, develop and implement a module that will monitor the reorder, critical level and safety stock and items that are fast and slow?
Haldimand Auto Supply is not aware in monitoring the stocks, if the stocks are in critical level or re-ordering point and needed to replenish. Because they only focus in purchasing items that are below 3. The owner doesn’t have any idea about the safety stock. 3. How to design, develop, and implement a module that will improve their purchasing order?
Haldimand Auto Supply purchased their items to their supplier through phone and supplier visit. The in charge person only makes purchased order when he noticed that the item is only below 3 pieces, because some supplier of certain items has longer lead time wherein the items runs out of stock. Sometimes the supplier will go to the store and ask the owner if what
