TRENDS
 RTD tea increased in off-trade value by 7% in 2011. The strong performance of both Asian still RTD tea and Still RTD excluding Asian pushed value growth during 2011, resulting in slightly higher growth than 2010. RTD tea is becoming a common household drink in many Singaporean homes as it begins to replace carbonates and fruit/vegetable juice as the default drink in Singapore families.  Asian still RTD tea registered the fastest off-trade volume growth in RTD tea in 2011, rising by 6%. The rising popularity of green tea accounted for much of the high growth recorded in Asian still RTD tea in 2011. Consumers tend to choose RTD tea which contains green tea over other RTD tea products due to the numerous health benefits offered by green tea. Pokka is the leading brand in RTD tea in Singapore and this brand is most famous for its green teabased beverages.
