In 1981, I was born in Monrovia,Liberia. My mother raised my three sisters and brother as a single parent.

She had her owned company buying clothing from other countries. My mother traveled for two to three weeks at a time for work, so I had to take care of my little sisters.   The

life was stressful as a teenage. I went to elementary and graduated from high school in my country.

The first time I traveled outside of my country was in 1998, I was 15 years old, living in a refugee camp in Ghana, for about 6 years.   My father'   s friend worked for the

American Embassy, to help me get immigration to the USA.   The plans fell through because of the September 11,2001 tragedy.   I was not able to travel to the USA, I had to

stay in Ghana.   The refugee camp was very hard to live.   The United Nation took care of the people in the camp and gave very little food and clothing.   Most people survived

from sponsors or there relatives.   As for me I was able to survive through my fathers help.

Knowing that I had to stay in Ghana, I decided to attend Creative College, where I did my computer hardware for 1 year 6 months. I graduated with a diploma in CHE,

Computer Hardware Engineering, in 2003.   Three weeks later a company called CTDOT hired me as a IT supporter, which was a internet cafe to help the customers with the

internet browser, I worked there for a couple months.

As a refugee in Ghana, I was not able to go to the USA because of September 11,2001, so the Canadian government formed a program, for the Liberian refugee in

Ghana. I was qualified on the program to Canada.   I left Ghana on December 6,2004 and arrived in Toronto December 7, 2004 spent a few hours at the airport and went to

Winnipeg, Manitoba. I lived there for 2 years.

When I got to Winnipeg, I got a job within 2 weeks. I was hired at a bakery (Natural Bakery).   I worked there for a year and 6 months.   I went back to school
