RON DAYAN
Ron Dayan studied interior design and decorating in London, Paris, Italy
and Los Angeles. At a very early age Ron Dayan knew that he wanted to be
an interior designer. When he was sixteen he went on trip throughout Europe
with a bunch of friends. He became fascinated with the Roman architecture,
the grand interiors of Florence, and the majestic Vatican. A year later he
helped his parents design a Mediterranean Villa, much to the surprise of his
parents architect. His success started at The Polytechnic of Northern
London where he graduated with honors. After finishing college he felt his
education was not suffice. He wanted to see and feel the world’s best
architecture and décor first hand and then to study it in depth with magazines
and library books. Engerized with the great desire to learn, he took a job
with the airlines at the age of 21. He proceeded to travel the globe visiting
museums in Amsterdam, and Paris. While in Amsterdam he studied the
works of two artists, Van Gogh and Rembrandt he also studied various
masters from the Louvre. Following his airlines career, in 1979 Ron arrived
in Los Angeles, and enrolled in Woodbury University. He was just not ready
to give up his quest for knowledge. While in school he worked at an
architectural firm and then changed jobs closer and special to him: Interior
Design and Decorating. But being who he was and how his mind was
longing for knowledge he proceeded to change jobs with different
companies that offered all services related to the design and remodeling
field. In 1984 he realized he was ready to start his own interior design
business and open up Piccadilly Designs. Within just five short years
success was upon him. He was asked to appear in People magazine with his
client Smokey Robinson. He then received his first national recognition on
The Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous followed by Good Morning America... [continues]
