TINKER BELL:SCIENCE OF DREAMS

God had created a place of which a human can stand its dignity and civilization, Planet Earth. Proportional to a better living, mankind tend to change more and more, multifunctioning God’s creation. But how on Earth could a possibly merely weak physically structure of human can eventually change the whole planet to a better living? It is a magic of what man can call it now as science.

Science is simply defined as study or researches on life and its effects. Thus, by making such a definition, there are one thing for sure, science is simple, but man makes it difficult. From what I can see from the world nowadays, is that the existence of study related to anything including medicine, electronic gadgets, transportation until finally, weapon and war, had caused positive and unfortunately, adverse impacts as well to human and all creatures on Earth including to the planet itself. As an instant example-a car. For self sake, yes, a car can make human travel far beyond their limitation but as well ruining the ecosystem stabilization. If man

Despite the fact that Science has helped us, the advances of technology has increased the destructive capacity of conflict by enabling many countries to create horrifying weapons of mass destruction that have raised numerous ethical questions. Also, it is a constant threat to humanity with the danger that never ceases to end as can be seen by the destruction of the First and Second World War with their unprecedented number of deaths. The atomic bomb, for example, with the destruction it has caused and affected the Japanese many years after and, it was created about 70 years ago. In the 21st century, we have weapons that can make the atomic bomb look like a firecracker. The development of these weapons of mass destruction has raised the threat of total global destruction. Science has produced the means of more suffering in an almost infinite way, which surely outweighs the benefits towards healing and helping the sick and needy. As much as I would like to disagree, as long as these weapons exist; Science will always be a threat to humanity.…

It is done through observation of natural phenomena, and/or through experimentation that tries to simulate natural processes under controlled conditions. (There are, of course, more definitions of science.)…

Science is a human endeavour. Human beings, from prehistoric times, attempted to control nature for their own welfare. For this, they had to observe and understand nature. Out of such an understanding, they found the means to make nature yield goods according to their needs. While this understanding led to useful applications, it also opened up further questions and avenues of enquiry, enriching the stock of knowledge. And this. in turn, led to improved techniques for satisfying their needs. This process of understanding nature and using that understanding to control nature, is what may be called "science". The process is certainly not without ups and downs. The story of the ups and downs in science, as it grew in society, is very interesting. As we have said earlier, in this block we shall relate this story. But surely, by now, you may be wondering why you should know the history of science. And, for that matter, you may ask, what do we mean by the 'history' of science? Will it mean memorising a lot of dates, names and places? Well, in the first unit we'll provide you with the answers to these questions. We will also discuss, in brief, some aspects of science in the present-day society. The roots of science, as we know it today, lie in the life of primitive human beings. Therefore, in the next unit, we shall start the story of science right from the beginning, that is, from the dawn of human society. We shall see how the transition from a primitive society to an agricultural society had led to the birth of science and how it grew in the ancient world.…

Is Science a Boon or Bane? Science may be called a mixed blessing. It has made our life peaceful and comfortable. But it has also filled it with fears and tears. The invention of the wheel, electricity and wonder drug, penicillin has revolutionized human life. Now our life has become safer, easier and more comfortable than that of our ancestors who lived in precarious conditions, stifling heat of the sun, wrath of natural calamities were the constant threat to the very survival of our forefathers. But now we have conquered time and space and have tamed all the forces of nature. We have, in fact, risen from the lowest position of cavemen to the highest position of spacemen. Every coin has two faces. The same science which has been of such great assistance to mankind has another face. There is a drastic change in the lives we are leading today and that we had 10 years ago. Science has changed the face of the world with great advancements being made in every field. But we all know that everything has both pros and cons. Science which has bestowed us with development, progress, expansion and growth has also brandished us with hostilities, destruction, violence, ruin, devastation, annihilation bloodshed, carnage and obliteration. Gone are the days when peace and tranquility used to prevail throughout the world.…
