Road Accidents
Road accidents are increasing every day and especially in Christmas, summer holidays or weekends. Lots of people lose their lives on the roads and it is very difficult to resolve this problem which affects almost to the whole world. Not only the people can die, they can be injury and don´t get to recover of their wounds in all their lives.
There are several causes of road accidents and I´m going to mention some of them that I think they are the main causes: don’t respect the speed limit, drive drunk, drive many hours without rest, don’t put attention at the road, don’t be patient, bad conditions of roads, bad weather (snow, flog, rain,…), and there are more but I think that these are the most important.
Firstly if we want to solve this problem, we have to realize that to drive is not a play. We manage a machine very dangerous that it could kill anybody and there laws that we have to carry out. Everybody like to buy a big car that it can run a high speed but we have to realize that we must respect the speed limits because the fact that we have a good car don’t give us the right to drive at the speed that we would like to drive. Not only we have to drive well when we getting the drive license also after we have just got the license driving. The Government must improve the roads, the fines must be higher because I think that it is the unique way the people respect the laws and parents and teachers must to teach and encourage to their children how they will have to drive when they have a car.
Nowadays there are a lot of improvements that they make driving safer than ten years ago. Cars are safer because they have many devices that they help us to drive and in case of accident they look after our lives. Ten years ago only the most expensive cars have airbags, nowadays all cars not only have one airbag rather they have four or more airbags. Car´s breaks are so good that you can stop your car almost in the same distance in a wet road than in a dry road. The cars are

One of the must common hazards of the roads is letting you get distracted by small things that you probably do nearly every time you sit behind the wheel of a car. In some cases, even more so with teenagers than any other group of people, other passengers in the car can distract you, you can get in a heated debate and begin to stop paying attention to the road and only to a passenger, fiddling with the radio is also another big one, I remember reading a story of a guy who reached in his backseat to change his tape and got in an accident and got killed because of it. Another big one is people see an accident and watch it instead of the road, sometimes almost causing them to become another accident. My mom once got in an accident by turning around for only just a second or so to see what my brother complaining about, the light was green when she looked back but quickly turned yellow, the car in front of her stopped and boomed, she hit it. It can only take a second or two of looking away to cause a dangerous situation that can be easily avoided. It can wait until the next red light or better yet when your…

Though there are many other causes of car accidents, such as vehicle and roadway factors; however, a study using British and American crash reports, shows that 57% of automobile accidents were because of driver related factors, with the remaining 27% attributed to combined roadway and driver issues, and 6% because of vehicle and driver related causes. The remaining 8% of car accidents are because of solely roadway, and solely vehicle factors, as well as combined roadway, driver and vehicle factors (Sayed, G. Brown, and F. Navin, 1994). Despite the variable causes, 30% of all driver related car accidents are because of speeding; however, the largest percentage of driver related factors are alcohol related, with 40% of all motor vehicle accidents being alcohol related (“Car Accident Statistics Nationwide”, n.d).…

So what causes the problem? There are many reasons why accidents happen. Some people get very distracted while driving. They are on the phone, sending messages, women in particular fixing their make-up, and in my opinion what I think causes most of the distractions is rubbernecking. Your eyes wonder of on something else and you end up running into walls cars or posts. Another reason is drinking. People do not know the dangerous and risky it is to drive drunk, they don’t even know they have been drinking because they drank too much. Driving for a long period of time can cause accidents too. Drivers get tired and stressed out and they fall dead asleep without knowing. Speeding is another factor that causes accidents. Even though there speed limits for different places, people don’t follow regulations .There is one simple solution to the problem of car accidents. All of us just need to keep the basic rules and laws. traffic laws? People need to be aware of accidents at anytime and anywhere. Aren’t they? Individuals cannot solve this problem.
