      Riordan Manufacturing is an organization which is facing many issues with employee motivation. The organization has faced many issues when it comes to the reward system that they currently have to place. The reward system isn’t particularly based on performance but recognizing cost of living increases, seniority and position. Riordan Manufacturing needs to change their reward system to motivate and retain employees considering the increase in the turnover rate. With a new reward system put into place this will increase job satisfaction and hopefully decrease the employee turnover rate. Employee performance will be taken into consideration, the employees enjoy the organizations culture but there’s many things misunderstood when it comes to the reward system and pay. It’s time to get everyone at Riordan’s on the same page. Riordan is an organization which projects an annual earnings of $46 million therefore if they want to retain as well as attract employees they need to have better reward systems with room for advancement and continuous training throughout the year.

Issue and Opportunity Identification
      The issues that are present within the organization are that employee retention numbers have declined. It has become tough to retain employees within the organization. The company conducted an annual survey and the survey results showed a decrease in job satisfaction in the areas of compensation and benefits. The organization has also faced declining morale and work ethic therefore something needs to be changed within the rewards system.
