She likes Harry potter, enjoys her psychology class, and pays taxes. But Miranda wants to do one more thing: vote (Laskow). The current requirement of the Constitution prevents her of her want, because she’s not 18. A while ago, Miranda tried to lower the voting in her hometown of Florida. many think that 16- and 17-year-olds are not mature enough to vote (Laskow). "Miranda believed that the people who are interested in politics are the ones who vote, no matter how old they are. Some adults don't vote because they aren't interested in politics, while some 16-year-olds might vote because they are interested in politics. People who oppose Miranda's initiative say that the 18-24 age group has the lowest percentage of voters. They believe that fact proves that 16- and 17-year-olds are not as likely to vote. However, that might not be the case, says Miranda. In 1996, the state of Lower Saxony in Germany lowered its voting age to 16 for local elections. More 16- and 17-year-olds turned out to vote in the election than people ages 18-24 (Laskow).” The age limit on voting to me is pointless that’s just my opinion, and I believe that it is a requirement of opinion to all. are people for the age limit requirement and there are people against it so why have one. In the final analysis, as u can see the right to vote may seem to be a right to many, because of the fact that we never pay attention to not being able to vote. The people who are not able to vote based on strict requirements pay attention to these things on an everyday bases and fell as if they have been stripped of their constitutional rights such as our ancestors.
