Rhetorical Analysis of a Bud Light Ad

For many years Bud Light has been well known throughout America. Bud Light is a type of beer derived from Budweiser. Budweiser, sometimes referred to as Bud, is a global brand owned by the U.S. based Anheuser-Busch Company. Budweiser has grown into one of the biggest names in our country and Budweiser ads is what made it into what it is today. Their ads and commercials have always been known for their vibe and entertainment. Millions of people look forward to seeing their ads on television or on the internet. Bud light takes advantage of its reputation and makes ads that are well remembered. They incorporate humor into their ads and catchy phrases to send the message that drinking Bud light is the one thing you need to have a good time. Bud Light ads try to convince the audience to drink only their product. The use of images in many of their ads has something that appeal to men’s emotions and make them want to buy their product. In the ads that I am describing it gives the idea that drinking bud light would make you feel smooth and fresh. The use of splashing water in the ad gives the emotion that you are may be at the beach or somewhere cool. For me I find it amazing how ads can entice viewers to try and buy their product. An ad can seem simple and comedic, but can have an impact in a person memory. I think this is what the advertisement company wants. Finally I believe Bud light has succeeded in getting their point across to their viewers because their unique approach to reach and grab a person’s attention.
