Abstract
This research project deals with the application of radio-frequency identification (RFID) technologies to recreation management in national parks, resorts and wonderlands, and so on.   Our goal is to improve security and safety of tourists when enjoying themselves in activities like hiking, boating, skiing, and camping.   We develop a recreation management framework where RFID readers are installed at the gateways of traveling paths.   The average traveling times between two neighbor gateways are statistically determined.
