Revolt of Mother

“The Revolt Of Mother” In my eyes was a story about how a mother was just fighting for her right of freedom of speech. The father in the story, Adoniram, kept taking that right away from the mother, Sarah. When her husband left a event caused her to take action and stick up for herself, she needed to make decisions for herself.   Her daughter was going to get married even if it meant being married in the new barn the father built. The father built this new barn without the mothers consent. The mother really wanted to build a new house but the father insisted they built a new barn, even though they had one already.
                      When the father left to get a new horse the mother took action for once. The mother decided to move all of their stuff into the new barn because she didn’t want her daughter being married in a kitchen. When the father came back he basically cried and talked to her and said you should of mentioned what you wanted in the first place. The mother in this story is pretty heroic in my eyes because she stood up for what she believed in.
                          The minister plays a huge role in this because he comes and tries to talk to the mother about what she has done. He sees that she believes what she has done was the right thing and doesn’t really know how to handle it. In the end, I feel the mother did the right thing to stick up fro what she believed in and it is a real heroic thing that she did. [continues]
